      So does my husband! We have now been living together for over 20 years. And his finances have improved a great deal since our partnership, as I work as well and tend to be more proactive about economic decisions. So all is not bad! And we are still very happy, consider each other our best friends. But I agree, I am pushy, egotistic, and we do have our arguments.

      I must also say that he has an exalted vargottama venus in the 6th house, an exalted vargottama jupiter in his 10th and an exalted saturn in the ascendant.. the saturn sun opposition has to play a part in our arguments. But also the reason I respect him greatly and think him an ideal person.

      Great point Amit. Case: Steve Jobs, CEO Apple Inc. Has Sun in Aquarius in 7th. It seems like the brilliant man has been overshadowed by a big brother, if you will, Bill Gates. It's almost like the Sun in his life is someone else. His life will always be compared to Gates by what could have been should have been, only if.....Their intertwined stories are fascinating. We should start a new thread for those.

    Remember that 7H shows your attitude towards spouse/relationships..so Sun can show your Ego.
    Also that 7H in the natural zodiac is the house of debilitation of Surya, the house of Sunset and where Saturn gets digbala or directional strength.
    Praying to Shiva at Sunset will be auspicious.

    The Sun will always tend to bring trouble in the house it is in. It brings separation and the inability to enjoy the fruits of that house due to the need to sacrifice it for your dharma. Sometimes it brings perfectionism that also makes it hard to appreciate that area of life.

    However, any planet in good dignity in a house will bring some good results in that area of life. The Sun exalted in the 7th house for example will improve relationships through the good qualities of the Sun.

        what are your thoughts about marriage? your 5L is exalted in the 7H - do you feel that you carry the desire for marriage? What are your hopes for a mate? Would you want them to have your own interests? Do you want children?

          KaliKat in response to your question....my personal thoughts are that marriage is an important thing for two souls to unite. To live and care for each other in times of need. I see the deep philosophical side to marriage. I hope to find someone who shares that with me.....someone who is also dharmic. Yes would love to have children....the rest is up to the lord.

          Why do ask and what does 5L exalted in the 7H mean?

          thanks, Taj

          "your 5L is exalted in the 7H -'

          the sun is never the 5th lord exalted in the 7th house, so there is an error here. there is only one instance where the 5th lord is exalted in the 7th - Cancer.

          if the sun is exalted in the 7th house, it would be for a libra lagna where the sun is the 11th house ruler

          Sun is fifth lord exalted in 1st is for Aries.

          the 5th lord is usually in difficulty in the 7th house - Where desire for pleasure disrupts or intelligence. It is usually the sign of a neutral or an enemy, except Pisces and Cancer.

          5th lord is DB in the 7th for Libra though

      "It brings separation and the inability to enjoy the fruits of that house due to the need to sacrifice it for your dharma."

      Although it would seem to be like that. It always isnt. House is also showing where you need to work with
      your dharma and soon as you start to work with it, it starts to support the whole thing.

      As I have in Sun in second with Sagittarius lagna,
      its usually family who is supporting my dharma trips. And I think
      benefit is going both directions in that way.

          L = Lord
          H = House

          Your 11th Lord (Sun) is exalted in the 7th House (Aries). It is good for income, and shows potential for money and rewards to come from your wife or partner.

            infact sun is always good regading business and partenership work if it is placed in 7th house,and some time this brings the ego clash between husband and wife.It is usually said that any person who have sun (exalated to be more precise) in 7th house wish to marry a girl who have big income and in initial part of there married life help their partner to grow his or her business but s0ome time later what brings the ego clash i do not know as i have seen atleast 10 such cases....thanks for comments

              i've posted some info about sun in the 7H on another thread - it usually indicates a partner who is strong willed and dominates the native. most individuals with this combo end up divorced from the first marriage.

                  I have read the different postings on this thread (Sun in Seventh house), and found this to be a great community of intellectuals, with real knowledge. I am taking the liberty to post my query here, and seek your kind advice. In my chart Sun and Mercury are in Seventh house in Capricorn. Moon and Saturn are in first house in Cancer. Jupiter is in ninth house, venus in fifth house, mars in eleventh house. In my navamsha, I have Sun and Jupiter in first house in Aquarius, Venus exalted in second house and Saturn in Seventh house in Leo. The ongoing Venus dasa has been very good. Please suggest how will the Sun dasa be in terms of professional growth and personal harmony. Also, give your give advice to mitigate the ill effects if any.
