One of the explanations I have heard of AKs is that the native is forced to deal with the overused traits of that planet. So with Mars it would be taming aggression. For all the talk of hope and diplomacy I don't believe he is very soft deep down. An example would be his policy on Pakistan which is to the right of even Republicans. Thu, 30 Oct 2008 09:22:31 GMT http://jyotish.tribe.net/thread/a17a0d5f-8358-429f-a0a6-c364a5b4f210#049ab263-8b7c-4429-9ff7-5690d58dbd02 Attikka 2008-10-30T09:22:31Z http://jyotish.tribe.net/thread/a17a0d5f-8358-429f-a0a6-c364a5b4f210#d119e078-2d8d-4eca-98c1-e3cb046a240c so at the risk of looking like Captain Obvious, i maintain that obama will win a surprise -free election. it occured to me that transit ketu on obama's sun is not problematic. ketu is also transiting mccain's mars, in his 10th house, with that mars exactly conjunct obama's sun. the sun is the karaka for the presidency. so i initially thought this was a problem. well, ketu idealizes, romanticizes, and spiritualizes. obama is a visionary, who wants to change things and to heal the planet. mccain is the typical bush type guy who wants to get richer and more powerful by being president. seeing that ketu is transiting sensitive points in both charts, (see my earlier post on this tribe on this subject) it is clear mccain is not aligning himself with ketu's higher vibrations, and so is getting whacked by ketu, but that obama is, therefore transit ketu is benefiting obama, who is taking ketu's higher vibrations to his campaign, and thus will not be harmed. i also looked at the campaign charts (when they announced their presidency) of both candidates (mccain, 25 apr 2007, portsmouth NH 12:21p, obama, 10 feb 2007, springfield IL, 10:13a). these are useful especially when one candidate has a questionable birth data. the campaign chart is like a birth chart, for the whole campaign. well, mccain's looks bad, obama's looks good. before i get into those, i wanted to mention about uranus opposite saturn on election day. a number of astrologers feel this is worrysome, and portends a surprise, things not going as planned. well, i believe it simply predicts an obama win, as he represents change (uranus) after a long battle with his opposition (saturn) who represents business as usual (mccain-bush). obama's vision for global alternative energy, middle east, reforms, are coming after a long drawn out battle with mccain, ending on election day. that is what the stars are telling us. had we all looked at the transits on election day a year ago, we would simply have seen a guy like mccain cant win, that obama IS the surprise and the change. also, on inaugeration day, 20 jan 2009 in wash DC, if it happens around noon like normal, then the 10th house has capricorn and transit jupiter and transit sun in it, right on obama's ascendant sign, with tr jupiter on his natal jupiter. basically the inaugeration chart describes obama. well, back to the campaign charts , mccain has cancer rising, in ashlesha, with saturn lord of the 8th and 7th in the lagna in ashlesha. shows disgrace and deception, and seems to show his running mate too i might add. moon, lagnesh, in ashlesha and void of course. exalted sun in 10th, ok, thats interesting, but thats all i see there that looks good. there are no exact transits on election day or inaugeration. furthermore, 10th house ruler mars is in the 8th exactly conjunct rahu. shows his campaign will end in disgrace. obama's campaign chart has also sun in 10th, and forming a raja yoga with the 10th lord saturn (though per parashara if one of the planets in a rajayoga also rules the 3, 6, 11 houses, then the yoga gets canceled, so who knows). anyway, the lagnesh is in the 9th house of fortune. on inaugeration day transit mars will conjunct "natal" mars in the 9th house ("natal" meaning the campaign chart) and will exactly trine saturn in the 5th, saturn being here the 10th lord. so it looks much better than mccain's campaign chart. now, i believe obama's dashamsha should have moon in lagna, not 2d house, or 12th as pvr narasingha rao believes. we know that since obama began his moon sub period, there has been a major obamamania worldwide (a european craze, and humonguous crowds in america that have never ever been seen before for a politician). so clearly the moon has to be in the lagna regardless if he wins, as his status and recognition is high. then of course this shows a strong d10 for this period, as the moon looks good here. now, his upcoming mars bhukti bothers me, as it is in 8th house with rahu, could show a bad ending of his life. but then, "change" is his campaign platform, and so hopefully thats all that means upheavals to the govt, nothing more. but at least i feel i got the whole ketu, and now uranus, thing figured out. and what of obama's sun in ashlesha?
